Garland Texas - Wylie Texas! A historic brand out of Garland Texas is being revived. Whiskey experts will likely recognize the name Herman Marshall. Let's take a trip back to the beginning to set the stage for the current day happenings. Herman Marshall got it's "big break" in 2013. Herman Marshall took the national spirits scene by storm. That year they won a coveted Silver Medal and scored an astounding 93 points for their Texas Bourbon in the American Distilling Institute’s Annual Spirits competition.
Since then, they've gained even more recognition. They were voted “Best Small Batch Bourbon” in the International Whiskey Competition and won a Bronze Medal for their rye whiskey from the ADI.
Fast forwarding a bit, In November 2021, Herman Marshall was acquired by Dry County Distilleries.
They are currently in the process of relocating their headquarters and distillery to Wylie, Texas. The new location will continue the same small batch production as well as add a few new elements.
In the new space there will be good truck hook ups, open green space for entertainment, live music and more.
